Flight Departures at Vilnius Airport

Vilnius Airport lies just 15 minutes by car from Lithuania's capital city. Departure passengers should go to Level 2 and 3 of the single terminal – although some departures are also handled on Level 1 next to Arrivals.

There are five parking facilities at VNO: P2, P3 and PC are for short-term parking. At the heart of PC passengers can be dropped off or collected free of charge, provided motorists don't park longer than 15 minutes in any three hour period.

Vilnius Airport is one of three gateways into Lithuania, the other two airports being Kaunas and Palanga. VNO is linked to the other two airports by public transport, but it's also very affordable to hire a car. Car rental is available at Vilnius Airport from the P4 parking facility at VNO. Here Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt offer a wide choice of vehicles.

Intercity buses connect Vilnius with Palanga twice a day, stopping at Kaunas en route. Buses leave from Vilnius Central Bus Station. Flybus links Vilnius with Riga in Latvia.

A train station is right next to the terminal, simply follow signage. Trains take only 7 to 8 minutes from Vilnius Airport into the city center. Old Town offers tourists lots of choice in terms of hotels: Novotel, Radisson Blu Royal Astorija Hotel, Grand Hotel Kempinski and Congress Avenue Hotel are all based there.

A taxi from the city center to Vilnius Airport costs between 10.00 and 12.00 Euros. Taking the bus costs a lot less for a single ticket, available onboard the bus. It takes just 20 minutes from Central Vilnius Bus Station to reach the airport. With a Vilnius Card you can choose to travel for up to 5 days for under 15.00 Euros.

For passengers with time to spare before their flight: a business lounge with Wifi, newspapers and magazines and comfortable seating is open from 7.00 to 19.00, tel +370 616 15425, tickets costing around 30.00 Euros per person and less than 10.00 Euros for children under 12 years. You can get strollers free of charge from designated points in Departures, and Baby Care Rooms are available on the 1st Floor and in Schengen Gate Area A6. On the 2nd Floor there is a great play area for kids.
