Vilnius Tourist Attractions

Vilnius Old Town is one of the Baltic States' most beautiful, wonderfully restored locations with lots of fascinating insights into Lithuania's past, present and future. There are great guided tours visitors can join, some take you outside the city to the country's lovely national parks:

Walking Tour, Vilnius Old Town

A local tour guide takes you through Old Town on a trip that takes up to 6 hours. Guide meets you at your accommodation. See Gediminas Castle or Cathedral Square or St Anne's Church or Bastion of the Vilnius Defensive Wall through the eyes of a passionate local guide.

A Walk Through Vilnius Jewish Quarter

Today, the Choral Synagogue is the only surviving synagogue in the city, but in the past there were over 100 houses of worship in Vilnius and a far larger community. Since 1989 the Lithuanian Jewish Community has organised cultural, religious and educational events, and has ensured that Jewish historical and cultural heritage is respected and talked about. This walking tour takes in many sites, modern and old. Not to be missed!

Day Trip: Trakai Castle & Paneriai Holocaust Memorial Park

The tour starts at 10.00, taking in Trakai Island Castle, Kaunas, where Pazaislis Monastery and Paneriai Holocaust Memorial Park are located. This memorable tour reveals much about the Grand Dukes of Lithuania's reign and the reasons behind the Ponary massacre committed in WWII's madness, when thousands of people were murdered by Nazis.

Vilnius City Bus Tour

Tired of walking? Take a hop-on and hop-off bus, tickets are valid all day and the route takes in sites like Town Hall and Cathedral Square, the Gate of Dawn, the St Anne's Church and Palace of the Grand Dukes. Audio-guides in many different languages are available onboard.
